Huntsville Choral Festival

The Huntsville Community Chorus Association, in conjunction with ChoirFest, Inc., proudly presents The Huntsville Choral Festival April 3-6, 2008. We are delighted to feature Anton Armstrong as the guest clinician and conductor for the Festival, which will be held at First Baptist Church (FBC), Huntsville. Dr. Armstrong will conduct the Festival Chorus in rehearsal and performance as well as teach a seminar for directors and singers. The Grand Festival Concert is Saturday, April 5, 2008, at 7:30 PM in the Sanctuary of FBC. |

This event is one in a series of international choral festivals produced by ChoirFest, Inc., and is also presented in association with the Huntsville Chamber Music Guild (HCMG). The well-known male vocal ensemble Cantus will make a feature appearance at the Grand Festival Concert and also perform a full concert the next afternoon (Sunday, April 6) on the HCMG Celebrity Series presentation held at Trinity United Methodist Church of Huntsville.
The 175-voice Huntsville Community Symphonic Chorus, under the direction of Billy Orton, will perform on the first half of the Grand Festival Concert, as will the select 30-voice HCC Chamber Chorale. With HCCA |

members forming its core, the Festival Chorus will be open to all registrants and will sing repertoire learned under Dr. Armstrong as the second half of the concert. (see schedule)

The Festival will include workshop rehearsals in the evenings and seminars during the day. All singers are eligible for participation in the Festival and can register online at www.choirfest.com or by phone at 888-398-8471.
