THE YOUTH CHORALE
The Huntsville Community Chorus Youth Chorale is for students in grades 9 –12. This group teaches proper vocal technique through the performance of a variety of high-school- and college-level choral repertoire. In addition to their two formal concerts each year, the Youth Chorale performs around the city at events such as UAH's Peace on Earth concert, the Huntsville Museum of Art, luncheons, etc. They have collaborated with the HCCA Symphonic Chorus and the UAH Chamber Chorale, traveled to Carnegie Hall for feature concerts and some members have performed with the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra.
The Youth Chorale rehearses on Mondays at Faith Presbyterian Church at the corner of Whitesburg Drive and Airport Road from 5:00 pm to 6:15 pm. There is a simple assessment of each singer for voice placement only. The annual tuition is $ 150. Financial assistance is available through grants awarded to the Children’s, Treble and Youth Chorales. All high school students who are interested in singing in a choir are encouraged to come join the Youth Chorale.
The HCCA youth Chorale is under the direction of Matthew Gardner..
